There is no bigger need for the New England Patriots than offensive line help heading into the 2025 NFL Draft. With a very high likelihood that the Patriots will add an offensive lineman, the question has just been who and when they would add to protect Drake Maye. A new report hints at an aggressive approach to the offensive line room.
According to Mike Reiss of ESPN, the Patriots could consider a very aggressive approach to solving their offensive line issues. The Patriots have the fourth overall pick, pick 38 in the second round, and picks 69 and 77 in round three, along with multiple selections on day three.
Reiss writes, “… it would hardly be a surprise if they double or triple-dip in the draft along the offensive line.” While an aggressive way to approach the offensive line room, with needs across the line it’s hardly out of the question.
In round one, the Patriots could select LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell or Missouri offensive tackle Armand Membou. Both would be worthy selections at fourth overall and could be the Patriots’ selections come draft night.
Round two has fewer clear options, but there are still multiple prospects that could fit what New England is looking for. Alabama guard Tyler Booker, Oregon tackle Josh Conerly Jr., Ohio State tackle/guard Donovan Jackson, and Minnesota tackle Aireontae Ersery are the most likely options in round two.
Looking at round three, Georgia guard Tate Ratledge, Georgia center Jared Wilson, Boston College tackle Ozzy Trapilo, and Arizona guard Jonah Savaiinaea headline a strong pool of players available in round three.
There are plenty of options for New England in the 2025 NFL Draft, and with needs across the entire line, there is hardly a wrong pick to make along the offensive line. The options are vast in every round, and New England could easily reshape their entire offensive line in just one draft.
Double or triple-dipping along the offensive line makes a lot of sense for the Patriots, as nearly the entire line needs starters or depth at worst. With it being a deep and talented offensive line class, there is no better time to add multiple offensive linemen than in the 2025 NFL Draft.
