TRENDING: Cowboys K Brandon Aubrey is currently the NFC’s leading Pro Bowl vote-getter at his position. KaVontae Turpin is also currently the leading NFC Pro Bowl vote-getter at returner.

FRISCO, Texas — Though it’s thus far not been the season the Dallas Cowboys envisioned when training camp got underway in Oxnard, there have been some bright spots to enjoy despite the adversities. KaVontae Turpin and Brandon Aubrey have both found ways to take their game as specialists to new heights in 2024, and they’re on track to land another Pro Bowl nod because of it.

Already having one Pro Bowl under their belt — Turpin earning his as a first-year returner in 2022, while Aubrey did so in his first year as a kicker in 2024 — the two are currently the leading fan vote-getters in the NFC at their respective position.

KaVontae Turpin, Brandon Aubrey frontrunners in Pro Bowl voting for Cowboys

If you’re wondering how you can contribute to their lead, see below:

ProBowl.com/vote

On club sites (i.e., https://www.dallascowboys.com/pro-bowl-games/vote)
Social voting — During the final two weeks of voting (Dec. 9 – Dec. 23), fans can vote directly on “X” (formerly Twitter) by tweeting the first and last name of the player, tagging the player’s official Twitter handle or creating a hashtag including the player’s first and last name.

All three of these methods must include the hashtag: #ProBowlVote. During the final two days (Dec. 22 – Dec. 23), social votes will count as double.
Aubrey made history this season when he set a Cowboys’ franchise record by booting a 65-yard kick that also had room to spare, building on his All-Pro season (2023) by remaining the most prolific scoring weapon in Dallas’ stable — already amassing 102 points on field goals through 12 games.

As for Turpin, well, you can ask the Washington Commanders about him.

With the Cowboys’ in need of an answer to help them finish off their NFC East foes at Northwest Stadium in Week 12, Turpin turned a near-botch of a return into a Madden spin move that preceded a 99-yard return for a touchdown, the longest of his career. And while it won’t count toward his vote tally as a specialist, it was Turpin taking a short catch from quarterback Cooper Rush to the house for a 64-yard touchdown in Week 10 against the Houston Texans.

But, as a returner, Turpin has racked up a massive 762 kick return yards — a career-high and the best in the league by a sizable margin.

One thing the Cowboys don’t have to figure out in 2024 is their special teams unit.
