If the 49ers don’t want to pay George Kittle record-setting money, they may have an alternative.
This year’s NFL Draft just happens to contain a Kittle clone.
Penn State’s Tyler Warren has the game and even the hair to match the San Francisco star.
And in Matthew Berry’s latest Fantasy Life mock draft, the 49ers are predicted to make a bold trade up to find their future at tight end.
The Jaguars currently hold the No. 5 pick, but in this projection, San Francisco moves up to that spot to select Warren.
They wouldn’t have to immediately get rid of Kittle. He’d likely be a great mentor for Warren.

But choosing the Penn State star would mean the beginning of the end for Kittle with the 49ers. Eventually, they’d have to move on and let somebody pay him big money so that Warren could be the man in the Bay Area.
