The Kansas City Chiefs have a big mission in 2025, and that’s to reclaim the throne they were forced out of by the Philadelphia Eagles back in February.
There will be several familiar faces on the Chiefs coming back, including running back Kareem Hunt, who reunited with the team that drafted him in the NFL. He was signed by the AFC West division team in September .
Hunt will still be with the Chiefs in 2025 after he signed a one-year contract worth $1.5 million last March.
Kansas City Chiefs RB Kareen Hunt and Travis Kelce exchange messages on IG

In a recent post on Instagram, Hunt showed his social media followers a peek of what he’s been up to during the offseason. One photo in the gallery showed him working out in a gym.
In another slide, the one-time Pro Bowler can be seen watching a Cleveland Browns game. Before he returned to Kansas City, Hunt played for five seasons with the Browns, during which he accumulated 2285 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns to go with three receiving TDs on 41 catches and 52 targets.
Meanwhile, Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce reacted to Hunt’s post with a hyped message.
“LFG!! Turn me up!!! 🔥🔥” Kelce wrote.
Hunt also saw it and responded with: “@killatrav my brotha🤞🏾”
The Chiefs have an intriguing running back room at the moment. They have Isiah Pacheco, Elijah Mitchell and Hunt, but they could be taking another running back via the upcoming 2025 NFL draft to add new blood into the mix and shore up their rushing attack that was just 26th in 2024 with only 101.2 rushing yards per game and 31st with 3.9 yards per rushing attempt.
