Former Patriots Legend Sends Huge Message to Steelers on Aaron Rodgers

Chấn thương của Jason McCourty: Cập nhật về chấn thương gân kheo và sự trở lại của CB Titans

Around the NFL, there aren’t many bigger storylines than what Aaron Rodgers will do. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings are reportedly the two teams that Rodgers could land with, with the Steelers being the frontrunners.

The Vikings have an outside chance of signing him, but they don’t have much of a reason to unless they don’t trust J.J. McCarthy.

Regardless, unlike the New England Patriots, some teams aren’t in the same position regarding their future quarterback.

Former Patriots legend Jason McCourty spoke his mind about the Rodgers situation. He urged the Steelers to sign him, adding that he believes they could win a playoff game with him under center.

“You think about the last few years, they haven’t been able to win a playoff game,” McCourty said. “I think they can win a playoff game with Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback playing in a divisional round of the playoffs. I think you look at what he did last year, and I think his body of work, even with the New York Jets a year ago, was better than any of the quarterbacks that the Pittsburgh Steelers have had in recent years.”

Rodgers played at a decent level last season, but wasn’t as great as he typically is. He’s 41 years old, so that isn’t much of his fault, but he was still above-average, throwing for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

With the quarterback play the Steelers have had over the past few years, he’d be a step in the right direction.
