Jordan Henderson has returned to the England squad under Thomas Tuchel, almost a year after his last call-up.
His international exile followed a controversial move to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ettifaq in 2023, which he left in January before joining Ajax.
The former Liverpool midfielder has since made 39 appearances for the Dutch club and could win the Eredivisie title.
Tuchel praised Henderson’s leadership, energy and winning mentality, stating he embodies the values the team is trying to build.
Over his career, Henderson has earned an estimated £19.29 million, largely from his time at Liverpool, where he won the Premier League and Champions League.
While reports suggested he earned £700,000 a week in Saudi Arabia, he later denied those claims. His current Ajax salary is believed to be £74,000 per week.
