The Green Bay Packers enter the 2025 NFL Draft needing to address their positions at cornerback, wide receiver, edge, defensive line, and offensive line. That’s a hefty list for a team that has eight selections set for April.
Cornerback is especially important for the Packers this offseason, as the team’s future with Jaire Alexander remains uncertain before the draft. General manager Brian Gutekunst didn’t commit to bringing back Alexander during the scouting combine in 2025.
The Packers are apparently looking to add to their backfield this offseason.

Per Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda, the Packers asked Sione Lolohea to work out as a linebacker and fullback during Florida State’s pro day. He played as a defensive lineman in college.
“Oregon State transfer Sione Lolohea was graded as an early Day 3 pick entering the season, yet he failed to live up to expectations in 2024,” Pauline wrote. “At pro day, he measured 6-foot 2 3/4, 262 pounds, and ran the 40 in the low 4.8-second range and the three-cone in 7.23 seconds.
“His vertical jump was 29.5 inches, and his broad was 8-foot-9. To his credit, Lolohea has shown a lot of pass-rush ability in college and projects as a situational edge rusher on Sundays. I am told the Green Bay Packers worked Lolohea out as linebacker and fullback.”
Sione Lolohea played DL in college

Lolohea made seven tackles and .5 sacks for the Seminoles in 2024. His stats were down from 2023 when he recorded 46 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles for Oregon State. He finished his college career with 4.5 sacks in his five seasons.
It’s curious why the Packers worked Lolohea out as a fullback. But Green Bay is looking to add to the backfield at a position that isn’t selected in the draft every year.
The last fullback drafted was Zander Horvath by the Los Angeles Chargers in the seventh round (260th pick) in 2022.
