Packers could shop one of Jordan Love’s favorite targets in possible trade | Sporting News

The Green Bay Packers have a lot of wide receivers.

Jordan Love probably isn’t complaining, but the front office could look to balance out the squad’s distribution of talent.

That’s what Pro Football Focus suggests in a recent breakdown of every NFL team’s top trade candidates.

PFF writes that the Packers could, and possibly should, look to trade away Romeo Doubs.

Moving Doubs would still lead the Packers with Christian Watson, Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks as proven wideout contributors.

“Watson may have the most upside of the bunch, but a torn ACL suffered late in the year would reduce his trade value,” PFF writes. “At the same time, Doubs has been effective in the past two years, ranking second on the team with a 75.0 PFF receiving grade and leading the way with 83 first downs picked up. The bottom line is that Green Bay probably will not re-sign both Watson and Doubs next offseason, and the latter could net more capital right now.”

In 13 games in 2024, Doubs had 46 catches for 601 yards. He has caught 15 touchdowns in three NFL seasons, and Love seems to display a trust in him to make difficult catches.

Doubs, 25, will be a free agent after the 2025 season, which could lower his trade value. But if a team thinks it can also extend him, there might be a deal to be made.
