Any Wide Receivers Left In Free Agency For The Patriots?
The New England Patriots need to improve their offensive line, and they could look to the fourth overall pick to find their next stud left tackle.
Until recently, Will Campbell was a popular pick in mock drafts. The LSU product’s poor showing at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, however, left evaluators second-guessing Campbell’s talent.
That might have been why Sportskeeda’s Tony Pauline had the Patriots drafting a different offensive tackle in his post-free agency mock draft Friday.
The NFL insider had New England selecting Missouri offensive tackle Armand Membou with the fourth overall pick.
“The Patriots have shown an incredible amount of interest in Membou since the combine, and he’s definitely a Mike Vrabel type of blocker.”
Campell’s dropped draft stock coincided with Membou’s stock rising. Some evaluators consider the 20-year-old the best tackle in the class, and he could be an ideal selection to protect Drake Maye’s blindside.
Membou’s college coach, Eli Drinkwitz, recently told NESN.com’s Sean McGuire that he believes Membou could play on the left side after spending his Missouri career at right tackle.
Of course, the dream scenario for the Patriots would be to draft either Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter.
But if that opportunity doesn’t arise in the 2025 NFL Draft and if New England decides not to trade down, Membou could be an interesting pick for Vrabel and the front office.
