Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf revealed during his introductory press conference that he and is girlfriend Normani are now engaged. Metcalf proposed to Normani on Wednesday. He and their families set up a surprise.
Normani, who was at the press conference, said “they got me good.”
She also showed her oval-shaped ring after DK Metcalf said “hold that rock up, baby.”

It’s been a life changing week for Metcalf. It started with a trade, a massive five-year, $150 million extension and engagement.
“Don’t know too many more words other than great. …Found a new home here, found a new fiance, and everything’s just falling in line, just the way God planned it for it to be,” Metcalf said.
The Steelers acquired Metcalf in a blockbuster trade with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night. General manager Omar Khan sent a 2025 second-round draft pick to the Seahawks for the All-Pro wideout. The teams also flipped picks in the sixth and seventh rounds.
Metcalf’s five-year, $150 million deal is the largest contact given out to an incoming player in franchise history.
Normani recently revealed that Wilson and his wife, Ciara, were actually the ones who set her and Metcalf up. She is also a singer. She first became known as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, which became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.
Following Metcalf’s proposal on Wednesday, the newly engaged couple FaceTimed Ciara and Russell Wilson.

Metcalf shared that Wilson didn’t say anything about teaming back up in Pittsburgh when they recently talked on the phone about his new engagement.
“We haven’t talked about his future here,” Metcalf said. “But I talked to Russ yesterday, proposed to my fiance, and he was the one that connected us, so he was just telling me congratulations, giving us a congratulations on that.”
Metcalf also revealed that Wilson helped sell Pittsburgh to him.
“Last year, I think like halfway through the season, me and Russ had a conversation about how it was living here,” Metcalf said. “And he just told me that I would love it here. I’m waiting to find that out.”
