Justin Fields entered NFL free agency as a highly touted player, fresh off his first season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
After one year in Pittsburgh, Fields is making the move to the big city, signing with the New York Jets. He agreed to a two-year, $40 million deal that includes $30 million guaranteed.
Before heading to New York and embarking on a new journey in the NFL, Fields took a trip to the desert.
He posted a few photos from the Dubai Desert, having taken the trek to the Middle East with a couple of other NFL stars, such as Micah Parsons, Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson.
“Good vibes in the desert,” Fields said.
Before Fields and a few other NFL stars took their offseason trip, Fields impressed many people around the league during his time with the Steelers.
While Russell Wilson served as the team’s starter for a majority of the season, Fields began the year as QB1. Wilson was sidelined with a calf injury, leaving the keys to the offense in Fields’ hands.
During his time as the starter, Fields led the Steelers to a 4-2 record. Fields posted five touchdowns and 1,106 yards in the air while adding five touchdowns and 289 yards on the ground.
Fields will now replace Aaron Rodgers in New York. The Jets finished the season with a 5-12 record, with Rodgers recording 28 touchdowns and 3,897 yards, completing 63% of his pass attempts.
