The Dallas Cowboys and KaVontae Turpin agreed to a three-year, $18 million contract on Tuesday, a deal that will make him the NFL’s highest-paid special teams player.
Turpin, 28, was a first-team All-Pro in 2024 after returning one punt and one kickoff for a touchdown. He also led the league with an average of 33.5 yards per kickoff return.

Turpin set personal-best totals as a wide receiver last season, reeling in 31 catches for 420 yards in 17 games (two starts). He also had two touchdown receptions.
A two-time Pro Bowl selection as a returner, Turpin caught 44 passes for 556 yards and five touchdowns in 50 career games (two starts) with the Cowboys.
