It is not a secret that the Green Bay Packers will be looking for a number one wide receiver for quarterback Jordan Love this offseason. They will need to address that position before the start of the 2025.

The Green Bay Packers could potentially make a trade for Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf. He requested a trade earlier in the week from Seattle. He has one year remaining on his contract and the Packers might need to give him a contract extension if they were to trade for Metcalf.
Henry McKena Of Fox Sports Thinks That the Green Bay Packers Will Sign Former Divisional Rival Stefon Diggs In Free Agency

Stefon Diggs played for the Minnesota Vikings from 2015 to 2019. After the 2019 season, he was traded from the Vikings to the Buffalo Bills. After the 2023 season, Diggs was traded from Buffalo to the Houston Texans. Stefon Diggs is now a free agent and it might appear that the Texans may not re-sign him this offseason.
Henry McKena of Fox Sports predicts that the former Vikings wide receiver will sign with the Green Bay Packers this offseason. McKena said:
“Diggs’ days as a WR1 are likely over — man, that happened fast, didn’t it? — but in the Packers offense, he could put together a respectable 1,000-yard season. He’d also bring some veteran consistency to a receivers group that needs exactly that.”
Stefon Diggs is 31 years old. He only played in eight games last season for the Houston Texans because of a torn ACL. Diggs last season caught 47 passes for 496 yards receiving and three touchdowns, along with averaging 10.6 yards per reception. He was targeted 64 times.
Other Options

Stefon Diggs may not be the best option as a potential number one wide receiver for the Packers. However, what the Green Bay Packers need is someone who will demand the football with the game on the line. Diggs is better than anyone on the Packers roster whether they want to admit it or not.
Jayden Reed would be the number two wide receiver in this situation. Also, if they don’t want to go after the former Vikings wide receiver, they could trade for Metcalf or look elsewhere for other wide receiver help also.
