Matt Strahm just gave fans yet another reason to love him after adorable glove reveal

Philadelphia Phillies reliever Matt Strahm

In December 2022, the Philadelphia Phillies signed left-handed pitcher Matt Strahm to a two-year deal. Little did the fans know that on top of a solid arm, the Phillies were adding a new fan favorite with the move. From on the field to off the field, he is an easy player to root for and look at as a role model.

From day one, Strahm has done a wonderful job. Starting with his on-field play, Strahm came to the Phillies with a career 3.81 ERA in 304 2/3 innings of work. In two years with the Phillies, he has a 2.69 ERA with 150 1/3 innings, including a 2024 All-Star game appearance. This was his first All-Star game appearance in 2024. During spring training in 2024, Strahm signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him with the club through 2025 and a club option for the 2026 season.

Strahm doesn’t shy away from social media and has actively become a fan favorite, going back and forth with fans, becoming a popular trading card collector, not backing down about his famous hair, and now the latest example of being a family man.

Matt Strahm shares special family moment with daughter Wren

Baseball players always display new gloves heading into the seasons; this time, it’s Strahm. The Phillies left-hander had a fun family moment recently, pictured with a handful of baseball gloves designed by his young daughter. These pictures included an all-red glove along with an all-blue glove matching the Phillies’ colors. This was followed by multiple gloves with a variety of colors. The colorful glove on the side has her name, Wren, stitched on the side.

This isn’t the first time Philadelphia has seen a fan-favorite athlete come up with a design with the kids running the show. For example, Jason Kelce, on his night show with ESPN, had his daughters design the show mascot at the time.

Over the years, we have seen more and more of the custom designs as the league becomes more involved in trying to grow the game. The Little League Classic game that is featured in August has started a new trend of custom designs, starting with the bats.

As Strahm continues to be a prize on and off the field, it’s exciting to see him share this moment with his family right before the season.
