Breaking News: Mike Vrabel Reveals Patriots’ Plan With No. 4 Pick

The NFL Combine has kicked off in Indianapolis, sparking the beginning of the NFL Draft season. After a poor 2024, the New England Patriots have the fourth overall pick, and as things stand, the team is still figuring out what it will do with it.

Newly hired Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel appeared on NFL Network and when asked about the team’s plan for their first-round pick, Vrabel responded candidly. #Patriots HC Mike Vrabel is on NFL Network right now.

The Patriots are making the right decision to be proactive about their pick.

Unlike prior years, the 2025 draft class does not boast nearly the same amount of high-end talent, meaning it could be in the Patriots’ best interest to sell the pick and gain more draft capital.

And, considering that they’re in the top five, a deal will likely net them at least two first-rounders.

If New England choose to stand pat and keep their pick, there are a few options they could pursue. One option is Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, who played cornerback and wide receiver at the University of Colorado.

While Hunter is undoubtedly a generational athlete, there are serious questions about whether he could sustain an entire NFL season as both a cornerback and a wide receiver.

Nevertheless, Vrabel announced that the team had met with Hunter at the Combine, leading some to believe that Hunter to the Patriots has legs.

If the Patriots decide the risk is too high with Hunter, they could move down in the Draft and secure a potential WR1 prospect in someone like Tetairoa McMillan or even Luther Burden III.

However, with the Draft still a little over a month away, Patriots fans must sit through the rumors for a bit longer.
