Dallas Cowboys fans have no idea what to do anymore with their starting quarterback situation, and now that their starter, Dak Prescott, could miss the rest of the season, fans are calling for an old friend to come back to town.
Backup quarterback Cooper Rush got the start during the Cowboys’ 34-6 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but it didn’t go well.
The 30-year-old quarterback threw for 45 yards on 23 attempts and was benched for backup Trey Lance. While all this horrible play was going on, former Cowboys star Tony Romo called the game with Jim Nance for CBS, and a fan held up a sign that said “Romo Go In.

Romo spent 13 years in Dallas, playing from 2004 to 2016, and even though he is 44 years old, there is a chance the former Cowboys star would’ve played better than Rush Sunday afternoon.
Dallas has many issues right now, and head coach Mike McCarthy will not be able to fix any of them.
If things keep going as they have in the last few weeks, McCarthy will be fired this offseason. Maybe fans will call for Romo to return as their next head coach.
Dallas seems far away from contending for the playoffs, and they will need a total makeover if they want to compete in 2025.
