The Cincinnati Bengals franchise-tagged the wide receiver for the second consecutive season, much to the dismay of the Higgins camp. There are still sign-and-trade options for Higgins to move on from the Bengals, leaving the Patriots a glimmer of hope.

Patriots Target Shares Another Ominous Post After Bengals Decision

While the offseason process moves along, Higgins shared another cryptic message on social media as the saga continues.

Higgins posted just the blue ballcap emoji Tuesday night to X, leaving plenty of thoughts open to interpretation while Patriots fans flooded the comment section pleading with the standout wide receiver to come to New England.

Higgins tallied 4,595 yards with 34 touchdowns in his five seasons with the Bengals.
