TAMPA, Fla. — The Yankees’ first day of spring training for the full squad included a few more franchise greats showing up to begin a guest instructor duties. CC Sabathia, elected to the Hall of Fame last month, got a hug from injured designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton during a walk through the clubhouse. Willie Randolph and Andy Pettitte also suited up to join Ron Guidry, who has been around since pitchers and catchers started up last Tuesday.
After some players did early morning work and everyone ate breakfast, all 71 headed to the clubhouse for a 9 a.m., team meeting.
