Green Bay Packers are not going to Super Bowl LIX but one of their fans will be there, thanks to Josh Jacobs.
The Packers running back, who had one of, if not the best, season of his career in 2024, is giving back to the community through a partnership with the United Services Automobile Association and the Marine Corps Association.
The lucky and worthy fan to get the prize is retired Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps Kevin Bennett who has been a fan of the Packers since the 1960s.
Bringing someone who served in the marine is something that hits close to home for Jacobs.
In a press release, he said it is his way of giving back to the group of people who his family identify with.
“With family of my own who have served, I’m grateful to continue working with USAA to recognize the true heroes in our country who deserve a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Super Bowl, so this is just one small way I can say thank you to Kevin and the Marine Corps Association for all they have done for us.”
Josh Jacobs’ fan service will continue on April
It is not just Kevin Bennett who will get a gift from Jacobs and the Green Bay Packers.
The 26-year-old is confirmed as part of the Tailgate Tour happening from April 8 to April 12 wherein several Packers personalities will go around Wisconsin to visit schools, businesses, and community centers and mingle with fans.
Joining Jacobs in the tour among active players are Tucker Kraft and Lukas Van Ness.
Alumni Ahman Green, Jermichael Finley, and John Michels are also participating.
The Packers Tailgate Tour coverage will be Milwaukee, Madison, La Crosse, Wausau, Ashwaubenon and points in between.
