UPDATE: George Pickens addresses trade rumors from Pittsburgh Steelers: ‘Stop lying for clicks’

Steelers' George Pickens Finally Addresses Explosive Trade Controversy | Yardbarker

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens is tired of seeing all the trade rumors after the team’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens. On Instagram, Pickens shut down the rumors on a post that speculated he could be moved.

“Via: Me.. these pages are not in the building. Or any facility. Just stop lying for clicks and views my brotha,” Pickens commented.

There were some questions about Pickens’ future, and those still remain. However, Pickens’ talent is immense and the Steelers still lack any answers at the wide receiver besides him. So, they either have to move him if they do not want to pay him, or pay him this offseason as he heads into the last year of his contract.

Pickens was inconsistent at times and dealt with issues on the field. He has been embroiled in controversy over the entire season. Even Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin acknowledged that Pickens needed to ‘grow up,’ but the Steelers remain in a tough spot with Pickens as the only wide receiver of note on the roster.

The Steelers must decide if paying Pickens would be in their best interests. If not, they could look to decide what his future with the team looks like this offseason when they have to fix the position.
